Welcome to the Ray County Library!

The Ray County Library’s mission and purpose is to inform, inspire, and enrich the community.

Summer Reading June 2-August 9, 2025

This year’s reading program encourages readers of all ages to challenge themselves to get creative with their reading and Color Our World this summer!

There are two programs, one for adults and one for children and teens aged 0-18 years.  Participants who register for the program and children who log 600 minutes of reading and adults who log 5 books can earn badges, free books, and a chance to win one of this year’s great prizes.

Community Connection Event: Raised-bed Gardening

Want to learn how to garden? Attend the upcoming raised-bed gardening workshop lead by the MU Horticulture Team. Attendees will learn how to construct, design, and maintain a raised bed garden. Program is for all ages.

Library’s New Program Focuses on Improving Community Access to Health Information

The Ray County Library has blood pressure devices available to use and check out!  Our goal is to improve the health of our community and encourage patrons to be informed about their blood pressure readings and risk factors.  These devices are provided as a service to our community and should not replace medical visits.  Please direct all medical questions to your healthcare provider. If you do not have a doctor, contact our project partner, Ray County Hospital and Healthcare.
