The Ray County Library will be participating in the Libraries with Heart program thanks to the American Heart Association’s grant to combat high blood pressure in rural areas, with additional local support provided by Ray County Memorial Hospital & Healthcare and Senior Life Solutions. Library patrons in good standing will be able to check out Blood Pressure Devices at no cost for up to 2 weeks at a time. Patrons will need to complete a Device Borrowing Agreement and present valid I.D. before checkout. A Blood Pressure Testing Station will also be available in the Library during operating hours. This funding opportunity and partnership with the American Heart Association will assist the library as it carries out its mission to inform, inspire, and enrich the community. The access to blood pressure testing devices will allow patrons to gain a better understanding of their health information and available local health resources.
